Abstract

The advent of the modern world nature was deprived of its sacred meaning, it came to be seen by science as an enemy to be conquered in the name of progress. It is obvious that we can not deny the value of modern science, but in some cases its functions and applications have become illegitimate and even dangerous, since it is not integrated into a higher form of knowledge. Science is a medium conceived by the human mind to unravel the secrets of the universe. Viewed as an end in itself, it loses its legitimacy and eventually becomes a destructive force for man at some point, causing various problems, such as the ecological crisis, which ends up being the outward manifestation of an inner malaise, which can only be resolved through a spiritual rebirth of modern man.
