Abstract

Throughout human history, we have always celebrated fruitful harvests, which removed the tragedy of hunger. But from a certain historical moment the majority of mankind forgets the food that the earth gave, for having lost the connection with it. Today, agriculture is synonymous with business profession, profits, sales, excess pesticides, commodities, high productivity, cutting-edge technology, in short, is agrarian capitalism. But in the quest for the sacredness of men's relations with nature, the purpose here is to explain the importance of family agriculture, land management, the persistence of kitsch in the gardens and finally proposing agroecology as agriculture that renews the bonds of the sacred in food production where peasants are the main actors.
