In search of the Laudato Si’ in and the example of family farming in Brazil

Abstract

Referring to the Canticle of Brother Sun and Sister Moon, by Saint Francis of Assisi, which integrates and sacralizes the relationship between all living beings, the Holy Father Francis publishes, in 2015, the Encyclical Letter Laudato Si', “On the Care of the Common Home” - the nature. This article presents the positive externalities of family farming in Brazil, in the socioeconomic and environmental scope, as an example of the viability of human love for nature, this “common home”.
