Abstract

Why will believers feel the obligation to “defend the honor” of their god before those of different faith, in a violent way? Is this god so weak and powerless that he cannot even defend himself, or have the faithful internalized the concept of a mean and vulnerable deity? The idea of associating sport with a recreational activity, as in the ancient world (“mens sana in corpore sano” would say Juvenal), in order to develop physical and mental health but also good relationships between individuals and social virtues seems to be there. thrown to the ground, at least in professional football. The ill-fated philosophy of political correctness goes so far as to stone the culture and demonize the memory. The freedom of knowing and knowing with pleasure is increasingly threatened. Thus, urban spirituality sometimes manifests itself through violent expedients in the religious, sports and cultural fields.
