This text aims to present and reflect on experiences as a teacher responsible for the subject "Education for ethnic-racial relations" in a Licentiate course, seeking to reflect on the need to build proposals that enable the training of teachers who are sensitive and committed to an emancipatory education . To this end, the articulation of the work with the conceptions of authors who bring proposals related to Decolonial Perspectives and Anti-Racist Education become fundamental in the process of initial teacher training. Through observations made during the course and analysis of reports produced by undergraduates, future professors, the purpose of the article is based on the need to support future professors in discussions and actions regarding epistemological ruptures and overcoming the monocultural model, considering the role of university in this process.
