This article seeks to reflect on some educational, ethical and epistemic perspectives understood as central in the life and work of Carlos Rodrigues Brandão: love, gratuitousness and sharing. From a reading of his theoretical, methodological and poetic contributions to the field of education, we seek to discuss some key points and dialogical strategies that guided his work as an educator. First, we delve into the theme of love in the teaching-learning processes, identifying its indispensability for the maintenance of human life, then we address how the legacy of his thought was built from gratuitousness and sharing, triggering discussions and challenges for the elucidation of 154educational paths based on cooperation, sincere listening and openness to dialogue.
