A strategy for social intervention

Abstract

The article briefly analyzes the historical importance of social movements, their emergence and development, contextualizing them with local movements. We contextualize the importance of social movements in the city of Poços de Caldas, with emphasis on the practices carried out by Coletivo Educação, which since its inception, has continued to fight for public, secular and quality education. In conclusion, depending on the political period, the actions carried out by social movements are sometimes strengthened, sometimes diminished, but always fundamental.
