Abstract

This text is an experiential report aimed at recording the relevance of Carlos Brandão in research, in the university, and beyond. His production and action have offered possibilities to make academia a space for valuing the individual not only within academic spaces but also in communities external to the university, which gains meaning from their existence. The report presents Brandão's contributions to two initiatives linked to the State University of West Paraná - Foz do Iguaçu campus, which served various individuals connected to education.
