This study explores the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Lk 15:11–32), focusing on the merciful nature of God and its relevance to interreligious relations today. It analyzes the historical and biblical context and highlights mercy as a core principle in human interaction, especially among people of different faiths. The son's return is seen as repentance, and the father's embrace as divine compassion. The study emphasizes the need for interreligious dialogue that promotes mutual understanding and acceptance, aiming to inspire a genuine practice of mercy rooted in Jesus’ teachings.
