Abstract

The following article presents 20th century religious fundamentalism and its evolution as a movement that began as theological and progressed towards political apologetics. After presenting the implications of fundamentalism, the X-Men comic book entitled God Loves, Man Kills is presented as a form of sequential art that figuratively expresses a critique of the fundamentalism of its time.
