UPAPITSI: ASPECTOS DA ALMA WAUJA

Este trabalho tem por objetivo demonstrar que as noções sobre alma da nação Wauja não podem ser analisadas a partir dos conceitos da filosofia ocidental. Na primeira parte, apresentamos uma breve exposição sobre as duas grandes correntes da filosofia ocidental que postulam as noções de alma. Na segunda parte analisamos, graças à produção às obras dos antropólogos, a noção de alma dos Wauja, a partir da qual elaboramos algumas considerações filosóficas. Nossa conclusão é a de que o pensamento ocidental de matriz eurocêntrica não possui elementos filosóficos para entender a complexidade das noções filosóficas da nação Wauja, inclusive no que tange à noção de alma. Fazemos, por fim, uma crítica à noção da filosofia eurocêntrica, pois esta considera que outras formas de pensamento, de conceituação sobre o ser humano e o mundo são inferiores epistemologicamente e, por isso, podem ser classificadas como primitivas, simplórias, arcaicas etc.

Abstract
This paper aims to demonstrate that the notions about the soul of the Wauja nation cannot be analyzed from the concepts of Western philosophy. In the first part, we present a brief exposition on the two great currents that postulate the notions of soul in the western philosophy. In the second part we analyze, thanks to the production of the works of the anthropologists, the notion of soul of the Wauja, from which we elaborate some philosophical considerations. Our conclusion is that Western thought with a Eurocentric matrix has no philosophical elements to understand the complexity of the philosophical notions of the Wauja nation, including the notion of soul. Finally, we make a critique of the notion of Eurocentric philosophy, since it considers that other forms of thought, of conceptualization about the human being and the world are epistemologically inferior and can therefore be classified as primitive, simplistic, archaic, etc.
