Abstract

This paper integrates, epistemologically, in the context of general education, and stricter terms, is founded on the propositions of Piaget Beatriz Maria Emilia Ferreiro Schavi on constructivism and literacy processes. Aimed to identify the contributions of Emilia Ferreiro on the structural factors of the construction of oral and written language in the literacy process. The various readings made as a theoretical and methodological framework works of Emilia Ferreiro, showed, on the one hand, the strong presence of the author's ideas, as well as their contributions but also on the other hand, expressions of doubt and criticism about of constructivist thinking about literacy, resulting from research on the psychogenesis of written language developed by the researcher.
